生ギターの奏でる伴奏から始まりベビー・フェイスの特徴のある歌声が、脳裏に焼き付くように、染み込んでくる。
とにかく彼のノドが非常に柔らかいことが、その歌の肌触りから感じとることができるだろう。
黒人なのに、さらっとした肌合いの歌声の知的な感触が、聴く者を惑わせる。
途中の転調でいきなり、リズムセクションが入ってくるが、「これってあり？」というアレンジのセンスは鳥肌もの。

エレピの音はあくまでもリリカル。
ベースのサウンドは豊かでワイドレンジ。
女性的とさえ思えるファルセットボイスの繊細な感触とあいまって、彼の歌の独特な肌合いにより、歌の魅力は磨かれ、独特の輝きを放っている。
彼自身が類まれなアレンジャーのため、アルバムとしても統一感を伴った一級品として仕立て上げられている。
眩暈を起こすかのような転調に翻弄されていると、クリスマスソングだということ さえ忘れ てしまう。
